Falsas Gêmeas: HEAR x LISTEN
Quais são as diferenças entre “HEAR” (ouvir) e “LISTEN” (escutar)? “HEAR” exprime a ação involuntária de captar sons pelo ouvido, trata-se, portanto, de uma habilidade natural. “LISTEN”, por sua vez, denota esforço para se concentrar ou prestar atenção. Por esse motivo, “LISTEN” descreve uma ação voluntária. Lembre-se, entretanto, de que essa distinção não é absolutamente inflexível. Observe com atenção os exemplos a seguir.
