Gramática: Outros (OTHER x OTHERS)
Tenha muita atenção quando criar uma relação de categorias ou um índice em inglês. Se, no último grupo, você for incluir diversas categorias que não se enquadram nas anteriores, use a palavra “OTHER” para querer dizer “outros”. Confira o exemplo a seguir.

Tuition and fees: 2,527
Books and supplies: 552
Room and board: 3,680
Transportation: 557
Other: 1,246
É claro que a palavra “OTHERS” existe mas não deve ser usada nesse caso. “OTHERS” é pronome e, portanto, deve ser empregado para querer dizer “outros” ou “outras” nos casos em que substitui um substantivo. Observe com atenção os exemplos.

- Decent people expect others (= other people) to be decent, just like themselves.
- As pessoas decentes esperam que as outras sejam decentes, assim como elas.
- There may be others (= other things, names, products, alternatives etc.) that I have not mentioned here.
- Talvez haja outros que não mencionei aqui.
