There is now a substantial body of research which supports the claims that extensive reading not only improves all language skills and fluency, but also greatly increases students’ motivation and confidence, and changes their attitudes to learning another language.
This talk will examine the many benefits of extensive reading for pleasure, and offer guidelines and practical ideas to help you make it an integral part of every language-learning programme.
