2. to annoy [irritar, aborrecer, afetar]

A construção gramatical get to do something é comum e significa “ter a oportunidade de fazer alguma coisa”.
- Marsha had been dating Bob for over five months when her father finally got to meet him.
- Marsha estava namorando Bob havia mais de cinco meses quando o pai dela finalmente teve a oportunidade de conhecê-lo.
- “Did you get to know the Eiffel Tower when you were in Paris on your business trip last month?”, Cynthia asked Frank.
- “Você teve a oportunidade de conhecer a Torre Eiffel quando esteve em Paris na sua via- gem de negócios o mês passado?”, Cynthia perguntou a Frank.
