Falsas Gêmeas: FOUND x FOUNDED x FUNDED
É grande a confusão gerada por três palavras bastante semelhantes: “FOUNDED”, “FOUND”, “FUNDED”. A primeira pode ser a forma verbal que representa o passado e o particípio passado do verbo regular “TO FOUND” (fundar). A segunda, “FOUND”, pode ser o passado e o particípio passado do verbo irregular “TO FIND” (encontrar) além, é claro, do verbo “fundar” no infinitivo, como acabamos de ver. “FUNDED”, por sua vez, é o passado e o particípio passado do verbo regular “TO FUND” (financiar, custear, bancar etc.). Consulte um bom dicionário de inglês para conferir todas as acepções possíveis dessas palavras.
